Educate and Empower

Our main initiative is to increase the availability of affordable housing in northeastern Wisconsin. We purchase single family homes, rehab and offer them to families in need for under fair market rental rates.  Factors we deem critical for this program success include:

  • Identifying  areas that are in greatest need of NEW AHS sponsored housing

  • Building good relationships with contractors and subcontractors, as well as others who will help with the necessary rehabilitation efforts

  • Expand and strengthen relationships with current and new donors/volunteers

  • Collaborating with community organizations to identify families qualified to participate in the NEW AHS program

  • In addition to our primary initiative, we offer an incentive program.

Financial Literacy Incentive Program

Our incentive program involves working with other agencies and organizations that offer various curriculums to educate and empower our residents.  It is through these classes our residents can learn financial and home management skills.  Residents can earn up to $500 if all classes are taken to be put towards a savings vehicle such as an emergency fund.
